The difference between condenser and evaporator

TIME:2020-08-27 CLIICK:0

What is the difference between evaporator and condenser? First of all, the condenser and evaporator belong to the heat exchange equipment, but the condenser is an exothermic component, and the evaporator is a heat absorbing component, both of which are indispensable parts in the refrigeration equipment. Let's look at the difference between condenser and evaporator.

Both condenser and evaporator belong to heat exchanger. The so-called heat exchange is the equipment with two or more fluids with different temperatures, so it is also called heat exchange equipment. Therefore, although the structure of the condenser and evaporator is diverse, but the working principle is the same. They are both heat exchangers that exchange heat with the external medium flowing through the surface of the container through the refrigerant. In terms of the factors affecting heat transfer, condenser and evaporator are the same, and their heat transfer is related to heat exchange area, heat transfer temperature difference and heat transfer coefficient.

The working forms of condenser and evaporator are different. The condenser is to cool the medium, liquefy and release heat; the evaporator absorbs heat and vaporizes the medium to absorb external heat, that is, the refrigerant changes from gas state to liquid state, which is a condensation and exothermic process, and its internal pressure is generally high; while the refrigerant of evaporator changes from liquid state to gas state, which is an evaporation and endothermic process The internal pressure is generally low.

The condenser is one of the main heat exchange equipment in the refrigeration device. Its function is to cool the superheated steam of refrigerant discharged from the refrigerator to cool and condense it into refrigerant liquid and release heat in the cooling medium. Common cooling media are: water and air.

Evaporator is used for heat exchange between refrigerant and low temperature heat source in refrigeration system, and it is also one of the main heat exchange equipment in refrigeration device. In the evaporator, the refrigerant liquid vaporizes at low pressure and low temperature, absorbs the heat of the cooling medium, and becomes the refrigerant dry saturated gas or superheated steam under low temperature and low pressure, thus generating and outputting cooling capacity in the refrigeration system. The evaporator is located between the throttle valve and the return gas main pipe of the refrigerator or between the liquid supply and return pipe of the vapor-liquid separation equipment, and is installed in the cold room or place requiring cooling and freezing.

The evaporator and condenser are important parts of refrigeration equipment. The refrigeration equipment can work normally relying on the endothermic / exothermic reaction of these two parts.

As a heat absorbing part, the evaporator changes into steam and absorbs the heat of the cooling medium by taking advantage of the volatile property of liquid cryogenic refrigerant under low pressure to achieve the purpose of refrigeration. From the structure, it can be divided into box type, tube type, plate type and other different types.

As an exothermic component, the condenser can convert the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant compressed by the compressor into the liquid state of low-temperature and high-pressure, so as to emit heat to the outside world. It absorbs and discharges with the evaporator, thus realizing the heat conservation. According to the structure, it can be divided into shell and tube type, casing type, plate type and water pouring type.
